Sweet Cause Donation Fund
Through our Sweet Cause Donation Fund, 50% of our proceeds from programming, partnerships, products, and services go directly back into our communities by providing monthly free creative-based development group workshops & need-based donations to low-income communities in the U.S. and Internationally.

Our Sweet Cause Donation Fund give back to our communities through empowering three pathways:

1) Supports Creators: Financially supports guest BIPOC Artists, Healing Practitioners, Archivists, Grant Writers, Educators, and Creators who work with us during short-term collaborations (events, workshops, school programming) that pour back into our communities.
Example: Our Ubuntu Project is a virtual and in-person workshop series cohort term for community artists and/or educators interested in introducing community participants to practical, spiritual, professional/personal development, and creative skills that empower our youth and adults by educators facilitating their lens of study.

Virtual Community: Workshop participants support community artists-educators through workshop costs. A portion of our proceeds goes towards a charity cause chosen by the project cohort team.

2) Service Projects: We travel and serve within the states and internationally to work with communities (individuals, gardens, farms, schools, nonprofits, galleries, residencies, and families) to co-develop with the community. We co-develop with you sustainable creative-based programs and projects that best support the community and provide solutions to ending global poverty.
In 2024, we developed a 6-month project called Bees of the Indigo Ancestral Sanctuary & the Unity Bee Garden, where we revamped an Oaxaca home and built/landscaped their garden to hold community creative workshops and create tangible and ancestral solutions to the water drought in Oaxaca, Mexico. As of August 2024, the garden was donated to an amazing family in Oaxaca to continue sharing this work in their community and provide abundant organic food for their family.

3) Our It Takes A Village Drop-Offs: We drive through communities in the U.S. and donate need-based items to best support our unhoused individuals and families. We also partner with organizations and receive donations. Donations typically come with letters from real people sharing love. If you have a letter you would like to write to someone needing encouragement through their hard times, please email us your letters or suggested resources, and we will include them with our donated items.

4) Professional & Personal Development: Lastly, we provide in-person and/or virtual professional and personal development opportunities through our vision board and goal-setting workshops. During these workshops, we use the creative arts to envision, set goals, develop tangible steps toward those goals, and explore our creativity.

Art Supplies Donation Distribution
During our 'It Takes A Village Drop-Off', we drive through low-income communities of color to distribute need-based items to combat inaccessibility to healthy food, hygiene products, school/art supplies, books, and other resources. Items are purchased through our Sweet Cause Fund serve as small donations from individuals, families, collectives, organizations and schools.

Through our Sweet Cause Donation Fund, in 2023, we donated $1,000 in hygiene kits, fresh produce from local schools in Oakland, 100 tampons and 20 community-made letters through Donation Drive & Drop-Off Distribution towards serving our shelter-less communities in the California area.

Proceeds through our workshops, products, and services with community partners support our mission of serving and empowering our communities! This is a big win and goal for our first year launching the Sweet Cause Donation Fund! Thank you, community, for your support and community leadership! Let's continue to bridge and end global poverty. We understand the direct impact of working together and we are thankful to those who work with us in bringing justice to systemic injustice.
