About the event
Come vibe with us on May 6, 2023, from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm at Dockweiler Beach in LA for a dope day filled with beach games, smores, live performances, meditation, and nature art activities, homemade multicultural food (New Orleans Creole Vegetarian Jambalaya and Vietnamese Spring Rolls -*plant and meat based), home-brewed herbal tea and herbal smokable blends by Ancestral Wellness Co. We will be wrapping up the evening with a community jam session and drum circle! You are encouraged to bring your instruments!!! Bring your drums, triangles, shakers and anything that makes sound.
Come out and connect with new community folk, enjoy the beach, and jam out while giving back to your community(s) at the same time._________________
This community participation offering is by fee and/or donation.
Donation options include:
Option One: Support Collaborators & Donate to Organization
- $12.00 per person with sock or handwarmer donation
Donation Option Two: Goes to My Friend's Place
- Masculine Clothing (min. grocery bag size - max. up to you!)
Donation Option Three: Goes to Project Q
- Blankets, Tents, Sleeping bags, Umbrellas (min. at least $15.00 purchase - max. up to you!)
-- all donations go to Project Q Community Center and My Friend's Place in Los Angeles to support POC youth and teens experiencing homelessness.
-all monetary donations support all behind the scenes contributors and their offerings.
$9.00 parking (We will meet on the CAR side of the beach. You will find balloons to direct you.)
About Project Q:
ProjectQ is a non-profit organization that provides a safe space for LGBTQIA+ youth by using hair and self-empowerment as a form of social justice. ProjectQ Community Center provides a safe space for LGBTQIA+ youth with housing insecurities to receive free mentorship classes and workshops, along with free gender-affirming haircuts.

About My Friend's Place
My Friend's Place is a non-profit organization that assists and inspires homeless youth to build self- sufficient lives. My Friend’s Place has a volunteer-based group serving meals and comprehensive services that supports more than 1,000 youth experiencing homelessness between the ages of 12 and 25, and their children, each year, that helps homeless young people move toward wellness, stability and self-sufficiency.
